It’s a straightforward swap. The kit includes the through-bolt/hardware; you’ll typically need a screwdriver to remove the factory recoil pad and a long socket/extension (or hex driver) to reach the stock bolt. Always verify the firearm is unloaded, follow the included instructions, and tighten the new stock securely.

Does it include a recoil pad?

Yes—the Sport Stock has a soft, energy-absorbing recoil pad for comfort. The pad is secured with screws for easy service.

How durable is it?

The stock is precision-molded from tough, weather-resistant polymer that won’t swell or warp in wet/cold conditions.

Is it compatible with Mossberg 590/590A1?

Yes. The 590/590A1 share the same buttstock interface as the 500. Heavy-walled barrels and metal trigger guards on some 590A1 models don’t affect stock fit.
